Steve's Club Nashville
Whether you have a goal right now or not I am challenging you to challenge yourself. The hardest obstacle in accomplishing anything will be yourself. Beat the best you have been and become better than ever. It all starts with that first step. Have someone hold you accountable and tell yourself positive affirmations everyday. It might not be easy, but anything whether big or small is doable as long as you put your mind to it. Post in the comments what your goal is or if you have accomplished it. You may even have have advice on how what got you through your journey. Remember no goal is too small or too big. Just have the heart and mindset to believe you can do it.

Few people actually consume enough water throughout the day. It is especially important for athletes to make sure they are drinking adequate amounts of that high quality H2O, especially now that summer is upon us. So how much is enough? The amount of water and other fluids needed before, during and after exercise largely depends on the intensity and duration, as well as temperature, humidity, and your own physiology. A good rule of thumb is that if you are training regularly you need to consume between one half and one whole ounce of water, or other fluid, per pound of body weight per day. So if you weigh 150 pounds your goal would be to consume between 75 and 150 ounces per day.
Getting all that water in is the hard part. Try to begin each day with a large glass of water, whether it is a training day or a rest day. Try to drink 2-3 cups of water before workouts and continue to sip on water every 15 minutes during exercise sessions. Make sure to drink a few cups of water after your workout to replenish all the water lost. You will see a difference in the way you feel as well as the way your skin complexion looks. It is a win situation all around. If your not getting near enough water in now, then take baby steps to build up to where you should be. Trust me the effort is worth it.
Got the phone call today that my official fingerprinting and background check with the FBI has been approved! The most immediate benefit is that I can now go into Stratford High and play on their brand new lifting platforms with 2 new sets of bumper plates! Apparently, almost no one is using them! Heartbreaking!
So, twice a week, during the lunch hour, kids are going to be able to come to me and get a taste of what CrossFit is about. I'm hoping this will help get the word out to as many kids as possible about what we're offering with Steve's Club Nashville.
CrossFit is fun!! But I'm finding that half the battle with these kids is convincing them that MIGHT be true enough, for them to give it a shot.
Keeping my fingers crossed. Going to work with the basketball team in an hour!
FiTr.tv Check them out and their Barbells Shrugged podcast about Steve's Club Nashville! I was very excited and had a lot of fun shooting this with Team Faction. The Bledsoe's, Doug, Chris, and their whole crew are great people, and I feel lucky to have their support!
